Spokane Police Department Outreach Unit
The Spokane Police Department Outreach Unit coordinates youth programs focusing on bridging the gap between youth and law enforcement to build and maintain relationships of trust. The Outreach Unit also provides engages all community members to foster positive, healthy relationships with the citizens of Spokane. The goal of YPI is to break the cycle of mutual distrust that commonly exists between youth and police in our community by helping youth to be authentic, honest and open in presenting their “stories,” as they inspire the police to respond in a mutual way. For more information please contact Sgt. Mike Carr at mcarr@spokanepolice.org.
